Im Just Moving Into A House And Wanting To Add A Pool Table For Easier Practice.?
Because of $$ issues ive been looking at tables around the $400- $500 mark. i 've been in apa for almost a year so i 'm trying to get a serious game going. the one issue that bothers me is that descriptions have been showing this wool blend felt and i dont want to end up with this pool table(like my friend 's), that rolls like thick suede if you know what i mean. any suggestions???? How To Iron A Pool Table?
I asked this question years ago and i got a great answer which i still use today. get a wooden block 4 by 2 and about a foot long.shave the edges so they wont be sharp. now you need to get snooker or pool cloth and wrap it around the block. secure the cloth by stapling or nailing the cloth to the block. now by using the block, push it on your pool table ( not where the staples or nails are of course ). from one end of the table and wallaaa. a perfectly ironed table..... Hi all.i really want to buy an american pool table... but i don 't know if i have enough room! i want to buy a table that is 'size l228.6, w129.6, h78.8cm '.but i think that the width maybe a problem... What Should I Look At When Buying A Used Pool Table?
I am in the process of buying a used 4 'x8 ' valley pool table from a guy. i was wondering what all i should look at when i look it over before i buy it? it was used in a bar so it obviously will have dents and dings on it. the table will need to have new felt put on to it too. he is going to give me a set of balls, a rack, a few cues and a bar light (the green one with 3 shades on it). he is asking $400 for it, including delivery and set up. what are your thoughts? what do i need to look at with the table? how do i know if there are dead bumpers?any help is appreciated,thisguythanks for the input so far. from what the guy told me it was one piece slate. also, i figure with it being a bar table it will need to have new felt put on just from wear and tear and from smoke. even with having someone refelt it it will only cost around $600-$700 ($400 for the table and $200-$300 for felting).
